Staff Accountant

Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

Work on the central accounting team to support the daily accounting function.  The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks to support the flow of financial information, the production of financial reports and the monthly close. 

Essential Position Responsibilities:

• Account reconciliation and analysis
• General Ledger maintenance
• Fixed Asset Register maintenance
• Generation of system reports
• Prepare General Journal entries as assigned
• Assist Accounting Manager with special projects and month end close

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Public Accounting firm
• Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts and functions, practices and procedures in the accounting function
• CPA preferred
• Must be a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who understands the importance of maintaining a positive outlook
• Should have the highest regard for attention to detail and the ability to review own work for accuracy and format
