Senior Accountant

Reports To: Director of Finance - New Business Ventures

Position Summary:
The position is in an exciting new group within Orchard Brands tasked to develop new business areas.  This individual would be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the flow of financial information, the production of financial reports, and the monthly close process.  In addition, this position would provide financial analysis support to the team on a variety of initiatives.

Essential Position Responsibilities:
·    Complete all monthly, quarterly, and year end journal entries related to the New Business Ventures entity.
·    Produce analysis to support the understanding of the monthly entries.
·    Assist in the preparation of the company’s monthly financial package.
·    Conduct monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliation. 
·    Complete external auditors requests.
·    Work closely with IT project manager to track capital expenditures across the businesses.
·    Assist in the development of reporting and performance tracking documents for a variety of programs.
·    Develop contract summaries and accounting process documentation.
·    Lead or assist with various finance, accounting, or other special projects.
·    Perform a variety of ad-hoc assignments working directly with senior management.

Essential Requirements:
·    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance.
·    Three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience.  CPA desirable.
·    Strong knowledge of Generally Acceptable Accounting Practices.
·    Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy and minimal
     supervision in a fast paced environment.
·    Proven efficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Experience with Infinium, Cognos and SAP
     financial systems a plus.
·    Excellent organizational skills.
