Position Summary:

Support all the financial applications implemented throughout the Orchard Brand’s organization. This position reports to the Manager of Business Applications and has a high degree of interaction with Finance, department leaders, and IS management and staff. Individual has an accounting background and will be able to analyze procedures and problems to automate processes or to improve existing processes, report writing, troubleshooting, and problem solving. Assist in the testing, training and support on all financial applications. Supports a large accounting department so knowledge of accounting procedures is required.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

Develop implementation and/or enhancement test plans and execute acceptance testing of financial system (i.e.: Infinium GL, Infinium AP, etc.) to ensure complete and accurate results.
Develop implementation and/or enhancement test plans and execute acceptance testing to ensure complete and accurate results for all interfaces to Infinium. (i.e.: CWD GL interface, ADP Payroll, etc.)
Develop implementation and/or enhancement test plans and execute acceptance testing for communication from financial systems to and from 3^rd party applications. (i.e.: PNC bank, Credit card processors)
Develop implementation and/or enhancement test plans and execute acceptance testing for all other financial applications. (i.e.: Vanguard imaging)
Work with business users to migrate from existing financial software application to Infinium.
Work with the Director of Financial Reporting to migrate acquired companies chart of accounts to the Orchard Brands master chart of accounts.
Work with the Director of Financial Reporting to ensure that reports written in and financial application (i.e.: Cognos or BPC) meet Orchard Brands standards and requirements.
Responsible for working with IT in the installation of new releases of Infinium software. Determines that installation is done properly from an Accounting perspective. Responsible for defining and implementing GL parameters for the system, this includes periods, calendars, company set-up, allocation tables, report writer, etc. Assists in the implementation, rollout and training of new modules and system upgrades.
Researches software to stay knowledgeable on any new enhancements. Responsible for keeping Infinium software current by determining which updates/maintenance need performed. Works with the IT department to ensure the updates are applied properly.
Provide support documentation to help desk for financial applications.
Interfaces in a liaison role between Finance and Information Technology (IT) departments.
Collects and defines requirements , translates into functional design documents and participates in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes. Prepares user documentation for all financial applications (i.e.: Infinium, Cognos, imaging, etc.) relating to the GL and report writer that are required to guide activities of Accountants, Financial Directors and Infinium application specialists.
Analyzes and documents business processes and workflows and validates system processes against business processes. Identifies and implements system controls and reconciliation points.
Provides training for Accountants and Financial Directors specifically in the area of general ledger inquiry, journal entries, standard reports, chart of accounts, consolidates, currency, etc.
Advises Accountants when a journal entry is needed when an error is discovered while doing GL maintenance and integrity system checks.
Works with outside consultants, when Orchard Brand uses them to determine GL set-up, and/or interfaces of modules (Infinium and third party) to the GL
Assist Financial System team as needed on complex issues regarding their relevant modules (FA, AP, report writer, PR interface. Etc.)
Provide project status updates to management.
Openly share knowledge and effectively respond to requests for information on specific issues/problems within the organization.
Research and document system related issues uncovered by user and determine resolution process.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration or Information Services.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Finance and/or Information Services.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise, formal training and on-the-job experience with financial applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to accomplish goals and complete projects.
In-depth knowledge of Infinium financials, Infinium report writer, and some peripheral knowledge of Infinium technical applications, Cognos Finance, BPC and other related modules.
Ability to handle multi-faceted and complex assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting aggressive schedules.
Detail oriented, flexible and able to work independently and/or work with Business partners, team members and other IT units in on-site and remote locations.
Demonstrated experience managing project timeline.
Ability to learn business and systems quickly.
Must also be able to work independently.
Ability to understand and communicate business and technical requirements.
Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
