Financial Analyst – FP&A (Call Center)

Position Summary:

Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports utilized by Customer Service Leadership.  This includes providing regular reporting to support management’s analysis of capacity, utilization, costs, trends, and key operating and financial metrics.  

Essential Position Responsibilities:

• Weekly issuance of operational metrics report including supporting schedules, graphs, and analysis
• Compile and analyze variable salaries to validate direct and indirect cost expectations
• Conduct month end variance analysis on various functions such as training, meetings, and other indirect hours versus forecast
• Weekly commissions reporting to payroll
• Track average variable wage rate on a weekly basis to compare to forecast
• Coordinate weekly forecast meetings with brands. Including preparation of scorecard and metric spreadsheets
• Assist in the development of a new Orchard Brands metric reporting and dashboards
• Prepare and maintain order forecasts and production reports for the day-to-day operations of customer service operations.  Forecast call volumes on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule based on Marketing’s demand forecasts
• Assist in the development of overall customer service strategic initiatives and develop analysis to support recommendations
• Work closely with Brands and prepare reports as needed in support of monthly accounting close
• Provide financial support for Jessup Mail Facility
• Serve as back up for Senior Financial Analyst
• Work with customer service operations on other ad hoc analysis

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) with two to four years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to navigate Internet, Intranet, and e-mail and standard executive summary reports in various software packages
• Possesses intermediate to advances skills with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
