Ecommerce Project Manager / Business Analyst

Position Summary:
Responsible to support the user community to develop systems that fulfill business requirements, including identifying and justifying projects, developing specifications, requirements, and functional designs, working with systems development teams and 3rd party Ecommerce platform providers to ensure that the developed application meets user needs, collaborating with the user community to develop system test plans, user documentation, and training, supporting system implementation, and providing post implementation support, following established policies, procedures, practices, requirements, and standards.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
- Work with user community to define system projects or opportunities
- Complete required System Development Life Cycle documentation for project identification and justification, requirements definition, functional and technical specifications for user community and IT signoff
- Lead small to medium size projects, inclusive of initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
- Assist in enforcement of deadlines to align with project schedules
- Understand current business processes and recommend system or procedural improvements
- Work as liaison between IT, user community and 3rd party solution providers on specific projects
- Work with technical staff on translating functional specifications into technical specifications
- Conduct presentations related to project efforts
- IT project leader for specific projects
- Product management responsibilities related to specific business applications
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in a direct marketing and Ecommerce environments.
- System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
- Experience working / managing 3rd Party Ecommerce Platform providers
- Experience working with Business and Technical areas of a direct marketing retailer
- Thorough knowledge of business administration, programming and systems development, a variety of hardware and software, and merchandising and sales operations
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products, including Visio and Project
- Experience working with software package related to one or more of the following areas: Ecommerce, Order Management, Inventory Management, Middleware applications
- Experience working with 3rd Party Software/Platform as a Service vendors
- Frequent collaboration with end user community
- Frequent collaboration with IT technical analysts, programmers and managers
- Occasional collaboration with outside technology and service providers as related to project efforts
