Sahalie is simply the latest evolution of the Early Winters catalog — started in 1972 by two climbing buddies after their tent was demolished by a storm at the Early Winters Spire in the Cascade Mountain Range. Their subsequent "Omnipotent" storm-proof tent design is legendary in the outdoor industry...as is the Rock Solid Guarantee™ it inspired.
Over the years, we've maintained a loyal following by continuing our founders' tradition of innovation, adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors. The name change to Sahalie (the Chinook word for "high, lofty place") represents not only our heritage and our customers' passion for year-round activity, but also our leadership in the use of high-performance fabrics, organically produced materials, sustainable product alternatives and an overall 'green' business philosophy.
